2020: THE TPK SHOW: When Agustín Fructuoso, founder of the TPK Art Center in Hospitalet (outskirts of Barcelona) invited me to show there in December 2020, I was to share the space with Pisco Lira, an artist from Sevilla. In October 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic made travelling near impossible and Pisco announced he couldn't come, so Agustín asked me if I could fill the space on my own. I had looked forward to sharing with Pisco, our work was similar enough to show together, but different enough to set off a spark. Now, with two rooms to fill, I decided to put my work of the last year in one room (see pictures below) and dedicated the other room for work of the last fifteen years (see "Paintings from 2005 to 2019). Two glass-topped display tables provided by TPK enabled me to show some of the little pieces of painted wood that led me to this type of work. I continue to do them to map new possibilities.
